A New York elected official with offices in Manhattan and Brooklyn seeks a highly competent, creative and energetic individual to manage all office communications and media presences across all platforms. The successful applicant will possess excellent written and oral communication skills and exquisite attention to detail and be able to work quickly and independently to keep up with rapidly changing policy and media landscapes. Bachelor's and/or master's degree in English, government/political science, literature, media or communications strongly preferred. Work experience in journalism, communications and/or legislative staffing highly desired. Driver's license essential. Some evening and weekend work required.
