*FLORIDA DEMOCRATIC PARTY PAID CANVASSER*
The Florida Democratic Party is seeking an hourly paid canvassers to join our team!
This is a great position for aspiring politicos to learn about Direct Voter Contact. Paid canvassers will work up to 20 hours per week. Paid Canvassers play a critical role in ensuring a Democratic victory in a key target district this November. They will hold meaningful conversations with voters about the Democratic candidates on the ballot.
The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with great communication skills and a passion for Democratic politics.
PAY: $15 per hour
Start Date: Sept 25th 2016. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis
Responsibilities include:
Door-to-door canvassing
- Meeting daily canvassing goals
- Identifying and persuading voters on behalf of Democratic candidates up and down the ticket
- Recording results while placing a high expectation on accuracy of data
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation a plus
- Sense of humor and outgoing personality
- Comfortable with speaking with voters door-to-door
- Must be able to be on foot for at least 4 hours in a variety of weather conditions
- Strong interest in political campaigns and Democratic politics a plus
- Willingness to learn data entry using VoteBuilder/VAN software
- Previous campaign experience a plus, but not required
