Field Organizer for Countywide Campaign (Nassau County, New York)

Field Organizer- Democratic countywide campaign in Nassau County, NY (Long Island) seeks Field Organizers to implement campaign’s direct voter contact program in regional field office.

Start Date: June 1

Primary Responsibilities:

Field Organizers will be the face of the campaign on-the-ground. Reporting directly to the Field Director, organizers will be in charge of volunteer outreach, recruitment, and training, organizing and running phone and door canvasses, and other related events for direct voter contact, managing junior organizers and interns, quality control, and data-entry. Organizers will be accountable for meeting the goals set by the campaign for each field office.

Qualifications:

·         Strong interpersonal and management skills.

·         Previous Democratic/ progressive campaign and organizing experience.

·         Goals and deadline oriented.

·         Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

·         Experience with Votebuilder/VAN.

·         Candidates should have a driver’s license and a car.

·         Ideally, candidates are familiar with Nassau County issues and politics.

 

Candidates should be willing to work long and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays. Salary commensurate with experience. We are an equal opportunity employer.
