Editing registry

Is it possible to edit the registry with jenkins?  

If i run the following command localy from the CMD the changes are applied correctly and succussfuly.

reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MMSOFT Design\PC Monitor" /v SendNotificationWhenOffline /t REG_SZ /d 1 /f

But when I run it through a windows batch command, it states that it was a successful run, however nothing is edited on the target machine.

Can i get some advice on this please?

Does Jenkins run with the same user account as the one you're using manually?
