How to solve Could not find (numeric) updateCenterVersion issue

Hi,

I am trying to setup Jenkins and tried installing various version from 1.651 to latest version 2.6.  With all versions I am not able to see available plugins.  I encountered below error when click on Check Now to update. 

Please help me to resolve this issue.

So, quoting myself: "I think you're behind a proxy and Jenkins tries parsing the 403 page or something like that.".

Did you look into that path?

it happens to me when I start up jenkins. i'm using 1.642.4 winston Jetty.

can you please elaborate regarding the proxy configurations?

(it seems that all of the proxy configuration are correct.)
