On svn checkout with externals - E200015: ISVNAuthentication provider did not provide credentials

Anybody else get E200015 error on svn check-out? Any known solutions? Tried deleting ~/.subversion directory and that did not make it go away.

Credentials Plugin 1.22

Subversion Plug-in 2.5

 

Subversion 1.7.10 (r1485443).

 

The svn checkout does seem to partially succeed but then fails on externals:

at hudson.scm.SubversionChangeLogBuilder.buildModule(SubversionChangeLogBuilder.java:196)

                at hudson.scm.SubversionChangeLogBuilder.run(SubversionChangeLogBuilder.java:137)

                at hudson.scm.SubversionSCM.calcChangeLog(SubversionSCM.java:725)

                at hudson.scm.SubversionSCM.checkout(SubversionSCM.java:860)

You need to specify 'Additional Credentials' for any externals.
