Is it possible to retrieve the stream of tweets from the past, say for a month in the year 2011?

I think the only way you can do that is thru gnip.com i'm pretty sure that they will charge you a lot for this.

Hello,
To my understanding its not possible. I believe twitter only stores their data to be accessed through the API for a couple of days. I may be wrong though.
