Java 7 Launch Event In Pune!

Dear Java Pune members,

Java 7 is major update to Java and will be released (GA) on July 28th, 2011. A detailed list of features & a developer preview is available online.

Wouldn't it be great if even before the general availability of Java 7 there was an event in Pune where we could learn & discuss exactly what's new & exciting about Java 7?
 
Oracle had this initiative where local Java groups could host Java 7 launch events supported by Oracle. I thought such an event would be a great opportunity to learn, network & energize the Java Pune community and so had applied for a Pune event.

I am pleased to inform that my request was approved by Oracle and Java guru Chuk-Munn Lee would be traveling to Pune to present at our Java 7 launch event.

Symbiosis (SICSR) was kind to provide the venue for the event.
