Title: Sr. PowerBuilder Developer
Location: Birmingham, AL

Job Description:
· Performs maintenance, problem resolution and enhancements to software applications.
· Analyses, designs, codes, tests, debug, documents and maintains programs.
· Develops programs and systems documentation according to established standard systems delivery methodology.
· Develops technical design specifications based on functional requirements
· Analyzes and offers improvement suggestions to existing system logic.
· Partners with technical staff to learn and understand problems with software.
· Adheres to defined programming standards and structured coding techniques.
· Adheres to all organizational and IT policies and process for software development and project management.
· Builds and maintains systems with current and emerging technologies while leveraging and expanding system capabilities.
· Provides creative solutions to moderately complex, cross platform technical problems, partnering with customers to establish requirement and closing the gaps identified in the project.
· Provides onsite and offsite support for the processing cycles of production systems and application releases as needed.
· Participates in system development planning and monitoring
· Actively participates in enhancing existing system development processes.
· Actively participates in structured walkthroughs and technical reviews.
Required Skills:
· 8+ years in software engineering roles
· 5+ experience developing applications with PowerBuilder 11.0 or higher.
· Experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012.
· Experience developing reports using Crystal Reports 8.5 or higher.
· Excellent troubleshooting skills to root cause complex issues.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
