ISLE Hack/Doc plans
Public ISLE Hack/Doc @ METRO (NYC)
Hold the date: March 12-13 (Mon, Tues, 9:30am-5pm)
Free and Open to Islandora, DLF, HBCU, Code4Lib, etc. communities
Capacity: 35 (pre-registration recommended)
Goals:
spin up a full Islandora 7x stack using ISLE (documentation and friendly ISLE teachers included)
Improve ISLE documentation
address questions of how to migrate Islandora 7x to the ISLE framework of Docker containers
Project Status
ISLE Steering Committee members completed test #2 of spinning up Islandora using ISLE Docker containers!
required 1-2 hours to spin up an Islandora stack on Ubuntu 16.04 OS
Carolyn Moritz notes that the install is “Absurdly fast” :)
Reports or comments from ISLE testers
New version of containers are 50% lighter - utilize “official” dockerhub images
Utilizing Github Issues to report problems w/ code and/or docs
Feature enhancement: add islandora_inventory_stack or similar to ISLE framework (action: Mark McFate. Done)

Tech data: Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS, Mysql 5.5.58, PHP 5.5.9, Apache 2.4.7, Solr 4.2.1, Fedora 3.7.1. Repository: 15,000+ active objects, just over 1 TB of content. CModels include: binaryObjectCModel, bookCModel, compoundCModel, oralhistoriesCModel, pageCModel, sp_basic_image, sp_large_image_cmodel, sp_pdf, sp_videoCModel, sp_web_archive, and sp-audioCModel
