[metadata wg] MODS and RDF Subgroup 2015-08-24 Meeting Notes Available

Hiya,

The meeting notes from the August 24th MODS and RDF Subgroup (under the Hydra Metadata Group) are now available at: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/hydra/MODS+and+RDF+Call+2015-08-24. Special thanks to Rebecca Fraimow for taking the notes!

Of some highlights:

* The general consensus was to support a dual approach of a simplest mapping case and a more complex case with some minor fidelity loss.

* The concept of "acceptance criteria" has been introduced to use in the future.

* There are two sections of "homework" to be worked on. The first is a collaborative document to make a final draft of the MODS Title to RDF recommendation for this group. The second is for each institution to provide how they are using MODS Name along with what specificity they are willing to give up along with an attempted mapping to RDF of that data.
