My Plasticity in Neurodevelopment (PINE) lab at Northeastern University has
an opening for an RA position for recent university graduates. I'd be
delighted if you would circulate these job postings to any interested
recent graduates or Masters students?

This position *focuses on EEG signal processing methods and software
development (building new functionality for our HAPPE software).*
*Primary Responsibilities*: (1) software development, (2) EEG signal
processing methods research with mentored supervision, (3) assisting with
manuscript preparation, (4) data management and quality control (4) working
respectfully and cohesively with others in our lab, center, and
consortium. This
role provides exposure to research and technology development at the
intersection of neuroscience, medicine, and public health.

The position is part of a larger project funded by the Bill and Melinda
Gates Foundation examining early brain biomarkers of healthy/at-risk
development in global contexts of adversity on several large, existing
developmental datasets. *This is a mentored research-focused RA position
(rather than lab management), with the opportunity for first-authorship on
publications and software *stemming from this project. This position may
serve as a launching pad to graduate studies or data science positions. The
RA will also be able to connect with an interdisciplinary network of
scientists through participation in the Gates Foundation Neuroimaging
Consortium and the Center for Cognitive and Brain Health at Northeastern
University. I encourage applications from members of under-represented
groups in science. A one- or two-year commitment is possible, beginning
August or September 2020 (remote start possible).

*Basic Qualifications*:  (1) Proficiency in coding in Matlab and/or Python,
(2) background in neuroscience, electrical or computer engineering,
computer science, or a related field; (3) excellent organizational and
communication skills

Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter to
l.gabar...@northeastern.edu

Thanks very much!
