Open position: Research Assistant (MS, PhD, Integrated MS/PhD)

 

Research assistant position is available for highly motivated students in Control and Dynamic System Laboratory (CDSL) Dept. of Electrical and Information Engineering at Seoul National University of Science and Technology, South Korea. 

The primary research interest lies in DC microgrid robust control, energy storage system control, renewable energy, systems control, and digital control applications based on microprocessor or DSP controller

Position Description

- The chosen M.S. and Ph. D. candidates will be enrolled in M.S. and Ph. D. programs starting from September 2019.

- The chosen candidate will get a full tuition waiver (guaranteed) and can get a competitive monthly salary depending on the research outcome and achievement. 

- The chosen candidate will conduct scientific research, industrial projects, perform experiments, present at conferences, and publish in journals.

Required qualifications:

1) BS with high standing or MS degree in electrical engineering and related field (Graduation thesis/project related to power electronics is preferred)

2) Good programming skills in C / C++ / Matlab-Simulink

3) Good skills in microprocessor-based controller design and implementation

4) Strong mathematical background

5) Excellent writing and communication skills in English
