Job Location Los Angeles, California - USRESEARCH ASSISTANT POSITION


The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles Division of Children, Youth, and Families is hiring at least one full-time Research Assistant to participate in the data collection and management of the Healthy Development and Resiliency study, an ongoing investigation of novel early life biomarkers of risk and resilience.  

Primary responsibilities include 1) administration of developmental testing, EEG and eye tracking to infant/toddlers (age 2-36 months) and questionnaires to parents; 2) collection and processing of biological samples; 3) database management; 4) assisting with screening, scheduling, and organizational tasks. Must be able to work flexible hours, including some early evenings as needed.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience in psychology, neuroscience, social work, or a related field. Competitive candidates will have experience interacting with infants and toddlers (2-36 months) and parents, effective interpersonal and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and some familiarity with developmental testing and EEG recording and/or eye tracking. Spoken and written Spanish and English language proficiency is preferred. Familiarity with REDCap, SPSS, MatLab, as well as IRB protocols is desirable. Interest in learning EEG data processing and analysis is required. 

The position is available immediately. This is a full time with a minimum expected commitment of two years, with the possibility of extension based on availability of funding.
