The Department of Psychology at Fordham University seeks to hire two
faculty members to begin August 2020. One position is for an Assistant
Professor of Social Psychology and the other is for an Associate/Full
Professor of Cognitive/Experimental Psychology. Candidates for both
positions must have earned a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline prior to
beginning. Ideal candidates for both positions will have a strong
publication record, teaching experience and an established history external
research funding (or, for the Assistant Professor position, clear evidence
of potential to secure funding). Responsibilities include teaching and
advising at the undergraduate and graduate level, developing an independent
program of research, and mentoring student theses and dissertations.

The Department of Psychology currently offers doctoral degrees in Applied
Developmental Psychology (ADP), Clinical Psychology, and
Psychometric/Quantitative Psychology, along with Master’s degrees in
Applied Psychological Methods and Clinical Research Methods; a fourth
doctoral program in Cognitive psychology is currently under development and
anticipates accepting students for Fall 2021. The Department is located on
both campuses of Fordham University, with the graduate programs located at
our Rose Hill campus in the Bronx and undergraduate programs at both the
Rose Hill and Lincoln Center (Manhattan) campuses.

Fordham is an independent, Catholic university in the Jesuit tradition that
is committed to excellence through diversity and welcomes candidates from
all backgrounds. Fordham is an equal opportunity/affirmative action
employer. The University and department have a strong commitment to
achieving diversity among faculty and staff. We are particularly interested
in receiving applications from members of underrepresented groups and
strongly encourage persons of color to apply.

Please submit a CV, a statement of research and teaching interests,
evidence of teaching credentials, representative publications, and 3
letters of reference. All application materials should be submitted
electronically, through Interfolio: apply.interfolio.com/67736 (for the
Social Psychology position) and apply.interfolio.com/67743 (for the
Cognitive Psychology position). Review of applications will begin October
18, 2019 and continue until the positions are filled. Inquiries should be
directed to our department Administrator, Maria Barbieri (
barb...@fordham.edu), or department Chair Barry Rosenfeld (
rose...@fordham.edu).
