Mimi Hearing Technologies is the world’s leading company for digital
hearing tests and hearing-ability-based sound personalization. The
patented and internationally award-winning technology was developed by
hearing scientists and based on years of research. The Mimi apps are
medical devices in Europe (CE). With over one million hearing test app
downloads from 180 countries, it creates the world’s largest database of
digital hearing profiles.


To further expand our research team, we are currently looking for a
motivated hearing scientist. 


What you will do: 

- Design and supervise scientific studies that generate data showing the
objective benefits of sound personalization.

- Design and supervise studies that generate subjective preference data
for various parameterizations of our sound personalization, assisting
the parameter fitting process.

- Write scientific study documentation for internal and external
circulation.

- Organize and conduct Mimi's research in basic and advanced auditory
perception, hearing testing and personalized fitting.

- Liaise with data engineers to conduct large scale research using our
product databases, and assist with specification and implementation of
the required data analyses.


What you bring to the table:

- (Doctoral) Degree in the fields of behavioral psychology, medicine,
medical physics, audiology or similar
- Strong experience in designing and running human laboratory studies in
perception  
- Expert knowledge of function and physiology of hearing, experience in
speech perception (e.g. speech intelligibility, listening effort, etc.)
is a strong plus 
- Up-to-date scientific knowledge and experience with causes and effects
of different kinds of hearing impairment, i.e., sensorineural,
conductive hearing loss, synaptopathies, hyper-acuity, tinnitus
- Interest and experience in computer science
- Experience in Python, iPython Notebooks, Pandas is a plus.
