I've been pondering the unit tests frameworks to use on IronFoundry Libraries (the .NET ones, not the Objective-C or JavaScript ones). As with numerous times before, I'm battling through xunit setup; I think it would be easier for contributors if maybe we stick to NUnit for easier test execution and integration. I know that there is integration in VS2012 for XUnit, but the majority of people have not made the switch and the test runner support in 2012 is less than spectacular.

A quick update to everyone checking out the repositories around Iron Foundry. Ian and I started working to do some honest to goodness pariing, and instead ended up battling with the xunit integration with VS2010 + 2012 + ReSharper. Simply, in two VMs we couldn't get the tests to be identified and in another VM it sort of worked, but the ReSharper didn't work. Some others that have been checking out the repositories also suggested we just use NUnit, so Ian and I refactored the project, updated the build server and have implemented NUnit as the testing framework for now. In the future, anyone's guess is as good at what we may or may not use.

The overall idea is that we have a build that is extremely easy to clone, build and get working on anyone's development machine.

Thanks for the assist today Ian in getting the testing framework implemented against the build & we have it clearly operative via Nuget with the appropriate version and will pull down whatever is needed via a clone for integration and standard unit tests. More test coverage coming soon and more Thor features in the very near term.

As always, will update as any changes and features are added to the repository via the group & github.

Cheers,
