Higher Education is an industry, even if one works at public nonprofit. I hope the faculty senate is strong enough to push back.

I find it especially troubling that students lose IP rights just for using
a computer on campus:

“The proposal says that all intellectual property created by faculty, staff
and students belongs to Ohio State if it was made under any of these
criteria: under the scope of OSU employment; using university
infrastructure, money or equipment; or in a university research laboratory."

I wonder if "equipment" extends to writing in a notebook on a table in the
library, too.
