Switching from master to slave does not happen

I have a master running Win10 Pro Anniversary with a slave running Win7 Pro. I've recently enabled Hyper-V on the master. When I have a VM running and connect to it through the host, I can no longer switch to the slave, even after I switch focus to the master. I run a scan on the slave and it shows connected.
I am able to get it working again by attempting to create a duplicate slave and then cancelling when receiving the error message.
