Problem With New Modem

I just recently upgraded my DSL and installed a new modem. When I turned on my slave computer I noticed that Input Director was not working. I changed the name of the slave computer in the setup and it started working again. That was yesterday. Today it isn't working again. The master system isn't detecting the slave system. Everything appears to be setup correctly. I may uninstall it and start over. Any ideas?
