Hello. I recently updated all my machines to Windows 10. I then updated input director to the latest 1.4.

I'm having issues where randomly the slave's will not accept keyboard input. The mouse transitions over to the slave fine but the keyboard presses register on the master. The only way to fix the situation is to restart the master. Even then it only works for a while until the problem resurfaces.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Is this happening when running a game or specific application on the master system, or does it happen even if, e.g. Notepad has focus on the master and you've transition to the slave system?

Regs,

Shane.

Hi Shane

I'm experiencing the same issue. When keystrokes are not registered on the slave, moving the mouse back to master and then back to the slave seems to fix the problem temporarily before the problem re-occurs.

thanks
Jay

Hi Jay,

Which version of Windows are you running on your master system and slave system?
Have you noticed if there is a particular program active on the master system when this is occurring?

Thanks,

Shane.

Hi Shane

I'm running Win 10 on both machines.

What I did notice yesterday is that the control keys (eg. arrow up/down, backspace) work while the alphabet keys stop working.
I've also tried shutting applications down on both machines to try to narrow down which particular apps may be causing the issue but so far have no luck.

thanks
Jay

I am seeing the same thing between three Win10 systems - master and two slaves. At first I was blaming one of my games which uses GameGuard because it tends to cripple Synergy, Mouse Without Borders, and a couple of other virtual KVMs, but the problem persists even with GameGuard uninstalled. It hasn't seemed to matter what program, if any, has focus on the master or slaves. I have tried with Webroot, Kaspersky, and Avast antivirus / firewalls, as well as with none installed. As Jay Huang mentioned, moving the mouse back to the master then back to the slave(s) will fix it for a short time.

Aloha,
Graeson

Hi Graeson,

I'm doing some digging and have a couple of ideas. If you'd be willing to run a diagnostic build, that might help me narrow down the issue. If you're okay to do so - please send me an email

Thanks,

Shane.

Hi Shane.

Surprisingly, almost hours after posting this the problem has gone away and not returned. I did run several updates including updating Logitech Setpoint which may have done the trick. I will continue to monitor and report back soon.
