Unable to start the Input Director Service

InputDirector v1.4build110 installed on master ans slave. Has been working very well but suddenly the slave has refused to start due to api-ms-win-crt-runtime-|1-1-0.dll is missing from computer.

Did reinstall the program but keep getting the same issue. Any help much appreciated.
