Is there any way to have "custom" mouse commands (back button, forward button, etc.) sent from master to slave? I just got a Logitech M510 mouse recently, and when I press the mouse's back button on the slave, it doesn't send a back command to the slave, but it does stop the scroll wheel from working. I have to move the mouse back to the master, then back to the slave, to recover scroll wheel functionality on the slave.

Hi Jesse,

The standard back/forward buttons on the mouse should work. The exception is if the mouse is using proprietary commands or buttons (as they can't be 'simulated' when sent across to the slave computer), which has been the case in the past with Logitech mice. Can you try another mouse with back/forward buttons to see if that works?

Hi Shane,

Thank you for your reply. The Logitech is the only mouse I own with back/forward buttons. I'll be sure to try a different one in the event I get one down the road. Would it theoretically make a difference if the Logitech software was installed on the slave computer so the slave would understand the proprietary commands being sent by the mouse?

Thanks,
Jesse

Hi Jesse,

If the Logitech mouse is doing something proprietary, then not. In case you're running an old version of Input Director - I'd recommend upgrading to v1.4 beta (download here:  http://www.inputdirector.com/downloads/InputDirector.v1.4.build107.Setup.zip )
