Some earlier relevant feedback:
To me the plant seems to be Justicia gendarussa.- from Bimal ji. |
The day before yesterday Sourav Ji sent me these two photographs in a separate mail and we had a little discussion. I didn't know he also uploaded it in eFI. However, Sourav ji also provided me the list of spp distributed in Bangladesh. Since the species is a herb it is one of species number 2 to 6 of Flora of Pakistan - http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=5&taxon_id=116893#KEY-1-6 (as per list given by Sourav Ji). I have seen none of those listed species. Without details of bracts, spike, calyx... as KEYed in FoP i am unable to identify the species. Members who have more experience on various Justicia spp may help. Thank you Regards surajit koley |
Justicia species in eFloraofindia (with details/ keys from published papers/ regional floras/ FRLHT/ FOI/ Biotik/ efloras/ books etc., where ever available) |
