Gordonia obtusa of Theaceae. Photos taken near Agumbe, Shimoga district on 27.12.2010. This is commonly seen in konkan and western ghats. Common names - Kannada : Mollangana mara, OlaKannada: Nagatta; Malayalam: Atangi, Karikkova, Kattukarana.
