Ipomoea cairica (L.) Sweet, Hort. Brit. 287 287 1827.

Syn: Convolvulus cairicus L.; Ipomoea palmata Forssk.; I. pulchella Wight (non Roth)

Glabrous climber with deeply palmately divided leaves; segments 5,  lanceolate or elliptic, up to 5 cm long; flowers pale purple, up to 6 cm long, on 1-3 flowered peduncles.

Commonly climbing on shrubs and trees. Photographed from Vikas Puri and Punjabi Bagh,  New Delhi.
