Dear Sir.

This is RAM-TULSI in Bengali and this is from my own yard. We have another Ocimum sp., the plain one, is going to be my 2nd upload today.

Since there are a number of Ocimum species that are known as TULSI with some different prefixes, please, confirm the ID.

Species : Ocimum gratissimum ?

Type : Home yard, also in the wild in villages

Leaf blade : 6 cm X 4 cm (average)

Inflorescence: 18 cm (avg.)

Plant height: 5 ft.

Date : 19/Feb/2012, 9.57 A.M.

Place : Nalikul (Hooghly), West Bengal
