A Startup, but not for profit

Dear members,

These days everybody talks of startups & papers are full of them since last few years.

But should we not consider efloraofindia as a startup but not for profit, but to contribute for the welfare of the society. It was started in June, 2007, when probably most of us have not heard of the term startup.

Efloraofindia has been the meeting grounds of the brightest in India for years, who wanted to contribute their bit for the welfare of India.

My hats off to these brightest Stars of India who might have not contributed that many papers but chose this battleground to show their might at cost of individual achievements.

The whole world uses my Image Resource of more than a thousand species & eight thousand images of Birds, Butterflies, Plants etc. (arranged alphabetically & place-wise). You can also use them for free as per Creative Commons license attached with each image.

Efloraofindia is continuing its services which are accessible to everyone...we can be really proud of its achievements, and in times to come this platform will get the deserved recognition in terms of being a great startup in the field..
