I've got a Book which contains 10 documents. When viewed in Indy, everything appears correct - the first page is Page 1 and it's a right-hand page. However, when I export to PDF, page 1 is on the left, so all the pages are incorrectly positioned in their spreads ... odd numbered pages on the left and even-numbered on the right.

How do I fix this?

(the documents were originally set up by somebody else, so he may have changed some setting that I\m not aware of ...)

Thanks!

Pat

to InDesign Talk - Google
I think it's a problem to look in the View Menu -> View page

Are you exporting to PDF as single pages or as spreads?

It's usually better to export to PDF as single pages. Then open the document in Acrobat and set the Initial View for the document to show a cover page plus spreads. FILE Menu >> Properties >> Initial View >> Page Layout: 2-Up (Cover Page)

I've tried exporting it as single pages and as spreads - either way, the result is the same.

This is controlled in a couple of places:

 - export setting in InDesign
 - file-level setting in the PDF
 - preference in Adobe Acrobat

which trumps which seems to vary by version and order of operations.
