GREP for global spacing between ...

... between a word ending in "f" and an exlamation point.  Is there a GREP code I can use to put space between these because the top of the f and the top of the ! are joining in the serif font I'm using.  Thanks!

Not sure why a GREP would be needed?

Search for:

 - serif font in question
 - f! (ensuring that case matters)
 - replace with f a hair space and !

Optional improvement, search for character styles and create character styles which will add the spacing?

Craig,

You can use this simple GREP and apply a tracking value to the f either with a find/change or as a GREP Style apply a character with a tracking amount.

f(?=!)
