Hi Friends

I have an AWS Centos server, the problem with it is it frequently disconnects the Putty terminal, the server is of decent configuration and i don’t suspect too much of load, but i think that there may be much I/O reason for the same, can anyone suggest if iostat is a good indicator, i have the following output from this command.

Linux 2.6.32-504.3.3.el6.centos.plus.x86_64 ()      01/30/15        _x86_64_        (1 CPU)

avg-cpu:  %user   %nice %system %iowait  %steal   %idle

           8.49    0.01    1.88    0.11    9.61   79.91

Device:            tps   Blk_read/s   Blk_wrtn/s   Blk_read   Blk_wrtn

xvdap1            2.93         2.78        64.17    5106420  117913216

xvdb              0.28         2.54         0.00    4669728          0

is it  reasonably ok? if not than what i need to check for the reason of disconnection,

thanks

A

i suspect not check for the

timeout interval on server as well as client

Just for update:
I suggest you to use NX technology.(Less load and server better speed
for slow connections like dial up modems)
