Hello guys,

By way of introduction, my name is Shantanu and I am involved in hamara linux development which we started few months ago. We have just reached beta 3 https://twitter.com/hamaralinux/status/557933741289779201. I must say that a open-source project like hamara linux needs more and more open-source enthusiasts to make it better. We welcome all linux/open-source people to have a look at this project and join/contribute to it if anyone wants/can.

In this regards we are hare having a Hamara Linux Conference in Gurgaon where we will talk about hamara linux in details. You guys can register yourself to join this conference and first few aspirants will get transportation reimbursement and some cool goodies. I will soon post the details for registering for this event.

Thanks
Shantanu (Hamara Linux)

You are using Gnome. Don't you think that will increase the memory
consumption rather than having "Enlightenment" for your desktop
environment?

Waiting impatiently. ;)

You are using Gnome. Don't you think that will increase the memory
consumption rather than having "Enlightenment" for your desktop

Yeah, that's, right gnome used to be a memory hog. However in the later version(which is shipped with hamara) the gnome team has worked on this part and the memory footprint has reduced a lot.

Moreover we are also developing hamara-sugam based on lxde side by side which is targeted for low resource machines. http://www.hamaralinux.org/news/hamara-sugam.

But I am pleased that you did raise this concern and am waiting for more questions/suggestions like this :)

Sure , we also eager to meet linux/opensource enthusiast like you.

Hi,

This is really good. Loved it. Please let us know, how we can be a part of this. Is there any active development going on?

Thanks

Ok, Please have a look at:

Some days ago I was able to compile all the packages of Enlightenment
environment on my Ubuntu 14.10 and it is running very smooth.

One more thing I tried that was theme development. In Enlightenment
theme development is just like writing HTML code or the one who know
how to use only <img> tag in HTML5 can be theme developer. Moreover
LXDE gives you only a kind of classy look but on the other hand in
terms of visualizations E19 is much rich and more
configurable.(Sometimes looks matter lot)

I am just fan. :D
