Hi All,

 

Now that we can almost say that spring is here, its time for some beer & cheer with jokaites in a week's time.

 

For a change, this time around the email is coming out a bit in advance for you to kindly block your calendars or mark your diaries and inform your spouses/families with a good reason of your intended absence for the evening of coming Wednesday.

 

Date - 12th May 2010

Location - All Bar One, Canary Wharf

Time - 6:30 pm onwards

 

As we havent heard from the interns yet about the summer alumni party this year, so here's hoping that we do a proxy party of our own in the mean time:)

Spread the word and bring along as many as you can. See you there...

Suggestion taken on board.

Given that its election tomorrow; in the same spirit lets decide by democratic choice. Joka junta seeing this email have the following 3 choices

 

1) Vote for All Bar One in Canary Wharf

2) Vote for Babble in Mayfair (if you remember that was the orignal location where we started)

3) Choose to remain silent and ignore this email.

 

So reply to this email latest by Sunday (09th May 2010) midnight and I will collate the votes and post the final location of the drinks next week on Monday morning.

Mayfair - 1 (already counting Suruchi's vote)

Sounds like 50-50 to me - Mayfair should be fine for Canary Wharf people as Green Park is only 15 minutes away??

I am in CW but happy with alternating Mayfair and CW.

Hello everybody...

 

Election is over and the results are out. Its 12 for Babble@Mayfair (including 1 by proxy i.e. Bharath) and 8 for All Bar@CanaryWharf

And I really dont know what to make out of Ralli's vote!! Sounds more like Mayfair but cant be sure so havent counted it in either.

 

So its Babble this time around. Its Berkeley Square, on green park tube station.

Request all who confirmed for CW to come around for a round of drinks to this part of the town.

From here on we will alternate between CW & Babble.

 

See you at 6:30pm @ Babble on Wednesday.

Folks,

 

I’m not sure who coordinates and organizes IIMC alumni activities in London but I have one suggestion. The Pan-IIM forum is organizing a drinks event for interns and others on Jun 1 in Mayfair. IIMA has decided to club their annual event with this event. It might be worthwhile for us to consider doing the same. The logistics have been arranged and the Pan-IIM group will be bearing the expenses for this event (upto a certain allocated budget).

 

Let me know what everyone thinks and I can circulate an email with more details.
