Does anyone has the same/ similar version of excel miner that was used
by Prof.'s during the sessions?

I tried getting the excel miner from Frontline Solvers website where
only download I found (for office 2010) was "Risk Solver
Platform" (SolverSetup.exe). This software does not have the features
(like Association Rule, Classification Tree, etc.) which are required
by the course. Please advice.

Thanks
Prit

Thanks a lot. The information you provided was helpful.

For new users (Excel 2010):
If you are not able to see Excel Miner as Add In, perform the
following steps:

File> options> Add In ---- try to see if XLMiner3 addin is
available and select it

If you cannot see XLMiner3 addin here:

Go to "Manage" in options > Select "Excel Add-ins" > Press "Go"
Add-Ins pop-up window will open
Browse> C:\Program Files\Frontline Systems\XLMiner > Select
"XLMiner.xla" file
Now you should be able to see XLMiner as Add-In in Excel Menu

Many Thanks
Prit
