strand location of chip-se reads

hi

I am seeing some interesting read patterns at some of the chromatin regions occupied by a transcription factor; please see attached image (no input is shown,,,just the ChIP reads).

At some transcription start sites, the "peak" is split into reads on opposite strands ; I am trying to think about what this could be reflecting about the way the factor is binding to this region?

Does anyone have ideas or seen this before?  These are 50 bp reads; unpaired.
