Alignment does not display

I am trying to align in IGV .bam files generated on a MiSeq following the PCR amplicon workflow. When I drop the files into the program nothing is displayed. Any advice is appreciated.

More details would be helpful. Can you send a screenshot of the IGV
window and also the igv.log file from the igv directory in your home
directory.
