Unable to launch with 2GB \ big bam files don't display

Hello,

When I load my bam file (1.7Go) with Java Web Start (1.2GB) there is a message "memory is low, reading terminating". Then I click "OK" and only a small part of my file is loaded (cf. attached).
I thought it was not the good app but I cannot launch with 10GB on my 16Go memory computer.
Is it just a problem of file size? Is my bam file too big ?

I forgot to tell that I'm using IGV version 2.3.92 (146) and java version 8.

Hi, the 1.2 GB option is limited with respect to memory and only provided for users who must run 32-bit Java on Windows machines.   If possible run the 2GB version.  You might first need to install 64-bit java if it is not already installed.   

The size of the file is not important,  however the coverage depth can be a limiting factor.   Have you changed any preference defaults, particularly defaults on the "Alignments" preferences page?
