Hi,

I have been trying to create a .genome file using the "Create .genome file" option in the menu for Zebrafish build 10 fasta file (Danio_rerio_GRCz10.fa). I have not supplied any of the other optional files except the fasta file. I find that the resulting .genome file is only 230 bytes large. Is this natural? Are there anything else I need to supply?

The main reason i am doing this is to be able to convert bam files to tdf files.

Thanks,
Karthik

Hi,  you don't need a .genome file,  just load the fasta itself as your genome.    Yes that size is normal,  it just contains a pointer to the fasta.
