What does underlined sequence in coverage track mean?

Under coverage track a
specific region out of the covered region (that is not
the whole region) is underlined in black; "Interval [12345-678910] 12345 reads
removed (numbers just as fictive example), see example in attachment.
Does this relate to Downsampling? - but why does it not apply to the entire
covered region, only a part of it?
