So I have an Illustrator doc with about 100 layers in it. When I export an SVG from this document I can see the other layers (with display:hidden on them) in the SVG's code. My question is; is it worthwhile to either remove this code from the SVG or create a new doc with the graphic by itself before uploading to icomoon? Do these hidden layers have any effect on speed, file size, etc?

Hmm, hidden layers don't (and shouldn't) get imported to IcoMoon for me. Could you provide a sample SVG that I can import and reproduce this issue?
