Monday was the first day of the 2015 school year in Kibaale.  It is  great to have the kids on campus again after a 2 month summer break, and it is especially exciting for our new nursery students who start their very first year in school with the anticipation of a new teacher, new friends and a life of hope with amazing opportunities ahead for them.  This year we had over 600 families apply for only 52 available spots in our Nursery school. As you can imagine it was a  very difficult task for our staff having to visit each family while keeping to our motto of choosing the neediest of the needy. These new Nursery students will now look forward to having a new sponsor and being part of their family back here in Canada.  To Sponsor a child in Primary and Secondary school go to our website at www.paoutreach.net (Daycare and Nursery Students will be available soon) The Romana Meinzer Schoalrship Fund We are honoured to offer a new scholarship this year to one of our hard working Kibaale students who will be pursuing a nursing degree.  This scholarship is made possible by the  Meinzer Family in honour of their wife, mother and amazing friend Romana Meinzer who dedicated her life to helping others. This will ensure a more safe environment for our cooks and a more efficient way to feed over 1000 staff and students. If you are looking for opportunities to help with a more tangible donation or legacy, please contact Rachel Sledding to help in ways that will allow us to expand and maintain the Kibaale Community School.   This year PAOS was one of the exhibitors at Missions Fest 2015. It was a great way to reach out to our local community and look at ways to expand our sponsorship program. Many children were sponsored and the connections made were exciting. If you are looking to have PAOS speak at your small group, women's event or even children's program, Rachel would love to connect and partner with you. This year we had our 3rd annual "Work Team" visit Uganda in November 2014. This group consisted of PA teachers, staff, parents and supporters of PAOS. The team worked hard making sure that the successful campaign of "A Gift for Every Child" was accomplished. They made up 900 gift baskets, pumped up 900 soccer balls and hauled over 900 50lb bags of maize flour. Each student received all three of these gifts because of your generous donation of $58,000.00.
