Could you folks please take a few seconds to edit your replies, rather than including the complete previous dialog? Some of these messages are hundreds of lines long.

I see one today that ends with twelve (12!) copies of the "You received this message because you are subscribed ..." footer text. It's a pain scrolling through all the redundancy, looking for the next message in a digest.

Will do. Also I guess there is no need for all the preceding email that always comes with a reply because one can always look at the full thread.

Ideally, you quote the part you're replying to, but delete extraneous stuff.

It depends where you look. If its e-mail then often the older parts of the thread are long since deleted.

It would be nice I each mail contained the pertinent information….
