I think you need to provide more details on What fix pack did you apply? What app server version?

Normally this issue comes up when XA logs are created. You can perform the following steps to resolve.

1. Stop the app server server1
2. Go to App server\tranlog folder
3. There are two folders.. forgot the names
4. Delete the log files in each folder
5. Restart the appserver

Your server should restart without issues. If you still have issues, please post them here.

Hi,

I am really a newbie to WebSphere. I need some help, please.

I learn about WebSphere by creating a Http server and application server, and then deploying my application. I start the application server including Http server. However, I am unable to stop the application server. Every time I click 'Stop', the status change to (yellow) 'Stopping' status for a while. Then, it goes back to 'Running' state. Apparently, my application server is still running.

I have been puzzled with this.

I need some pointers, please.

I don't have any sub folder in tranlog folder. So there is no need to delete anything from it. Now I got the same problem. Please suggest me the approach to get relieve from this problem

create new profile then start server
