The other option is to change the workspace in RAD and see what happens.
In the end u can try disabling the "Global Security" of the server and then see what happens (for this u can start server1 instead of WebSphere_Portal) and switch off the GLobal Security (thru WAS admin console) and then start the WebSphere_Portal.
Hope it Helps,
Kapil.
In your RAD. double click the server in the +server view+ to open a +server editor+. then check +enable security+ and enter your user ID and password.
I hope this would help

The SystemOut.log was overridden because of long running. I would suggest you to set traces and clean the log files before restart. Trace strings are:
com.ibm.wps.engine.*=all:com.ibm.wps.puma.*=all:com.ibm.wps.services.puma.*=all:
com.ibm.ws.wmm.*=all:com.ibm.websphere.wmm.*=all:WSMM=all
Attach ConfigTrace.log, SystemOut.log, trace.log, wmm.xml, security.xml, and wpconfig.properties (blank out passwords, please)
