unable to start server after enabling global security in the clustered env

Hi,

we were unable to start the server after enabling global security in the clusterd environment, deployment manager is started by the application server is not starting. This is on version 5.0.2.11. I know IBM is not supporting version 5.0 but please help on this issue.....

Hi, try synching the nodes. You can do this from the nodes with the synchNode.sh command.

Hi, the only other thing that comes to mind is that you may need to update the server.policy file in the properties directory. I do not know the settings for v5, but for v5.1 and higher it would be the following:

permission com.ibm.websphere.security.WebSphereRuntimePermission "SecOwnCredentials"
permission com.ibm.websphere.security.WebSphereRuntimePermission "ContextManager.getServerCredential"

Just curious, did you setup a user on the DM which is a member of the LDAP group and does this DM user have Admin access on the DM?
