I've made a few enhancements to the OpenCirce Organisation Hub

 http://opencirce.org/org/

- the two groups of DAC codes have been divided into Channel and Agency codes
- organizations mentioned in the IATI data ( as currently loaded into the AIDVIEW database) are listed in the appropriate 'realm'  and are searchable
- many (but not all yet) listed organizations have been explicitly extended with website links
- where listed ids donot link to valid organisations, aliase links are being added as time permits
- changes to derived links to keep up with changes in interfaces to external sources

Please let me know if you find this service useful (or not!) and how you would want it improved.

One further addition to OpenCirce are a number of the publisher-specific codes - specifically those used by Spain, IADB and Global Giving.   One idea was to see if these could be matched to codes in recognised realms and aliases added.   It would also be useful if such codes could be resolved at least to further data in the Reporter's site.  However this has not proved possible, and indeed Global Giving has recently changed their website so that redirection is not now possible  AFAIK.  Actually DAC codes themselves can't be resolved either - except via Opencirce itself which does provide some curated data  :)   It does seem fair to expect that if organisations are going to use their own identifiers then these should be resolvable to further information.

Of course such local codes without any reporter prefix are ambiguous and one would hope would be replaced by codes in some recognised realm in the future, or that useful realms like GG could be accepted as valid codes
