Error scripts/common.sh: [[: not found running examples/web

I've gone through the steps on the Readme file, but I'm failing to get the examples/web to run properly.

If I check the parrot-feeder.log I see messages like these:

util: RemoteParrot: parrot[localhost:9999] queue is over capacity
...
util: Error shutting down Parrot: com.twitter.util.TimeoutException

and parrot-server.log is full of HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request

Am I missing something?
I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

Do you know what bug is it? Mine worked fine several months ago, now it shows the same error. But I don't want to upgrade it yet just for this single bug.
