Hey All:
Our HackerNest Tech March Tech Social is on the calendar, March 27th 6:30 - 9:30. This will be our third time working with i3Detroit.

This has been one of our favorite venues for past events; your space is just so unique and the people so welcoming. I'm looking forward to the event, but one of the last pieces is getting a couple folks to help us out, If anyone can step forward to be the point of contact and commit to being there for the whole block of event (Like the 6pm - 9:30pm window, giving us that 30 minutes at the start to setup), that would be awesome. It would be very cool if I knew for sure that a few others could be there just to do the quick tour -- that really wows people. We like to give our hosts 5 minutes or so mid-event to speak directly to the crowd too.

If you're not familiar withus or  our Tech Socials, we're a global non-profit that organizes socials, hackathons, and other projects that advance technology, humanity, and economic prosperity. We work in cities like Detroit to highlight the best venues, workspaces, and projects that make up the tech ecosystem. Just bringing people together in cool spots that they may not have even known were there and getting them talking (not networking, just honesty sharing) is beneficial (and fun!). Our events draw a wide range of tech enthusiasts -- designers, new developers, folks still in their education or enrolled in a bootcamp, business owners and inventors/hackers. We don't want to turn anyone away, so we don't ban recruiters from our events (we'd miss some of our best people!), but they are not recruiting events. It's just tech folks, beer, and good conversation in a cool spot.

So, please come. I'll bring drinks and snacks, and hopefully a lot of cool people. Our Meetup is where we collect RSVPs; if you can't respond there, reply here or email me -- michae...@hackernest.com and I'll take a head count for purchasing estimates.

Any questions? Anyone able to help?
