TL;DR: Shiny high-tech art things. If you want things made, I need the info for them by 2015-10-12 and the actual materials by 2015-11-13.

So, Matt Gardeski and I have been invited again (probably for the last time) to join a group making Lichtenberg figures. (see https://www.i3detroit.org/high-tech-xmas-gifts-made-by-i3detroit-members/ for more information).

The event is on 2015-11-20 (or a couple fallback days if needed). I will need from you your acrylic samples and lead or steel masks at least a week prior to that. The deadline for materials to me is 2015-11-13.

Keep in mind this is an electrical process; rough surfaces may cause undesirable early discharges. We found that laser-cut or routed edges worked tolerably, and rough edges could be prevented from discharging if they are masked.

I am willing to take with me any items you wish to have done, but I need the following information by 2015-10-12:

1. Your full name or preferred handle, which you will clearly mark your samples with
2a. The quantity and dimensions of your items
2b. Part numbers from http://www.tapplastics.com/product/plastics/plastic_rods_tubes_shapes if you wish to join my group purchase
2c. A PayPal account name for post-event billing for materials and beam time (approximately $7/min, but figured based on elapsed beam time over total number of sample-exposures and allocated proportionally)
3. The approximate exposed area on each piece, and number of exposures needed

Example requests:
agmlego: (2) 4" x 4" x 3/4" squares (TAP #99999, with #99800 polishing),exposed once per side, with 50% area both exposures
pajamapuma: (1) 2" cube (TAP #24713), exposed on all sides, 100% area

Please ask me off list if you have questions about how to prep materials or make masks.

Please email me off list if you want to participate.
