Dear RWSN member
The following maybe of interest:
Swiss Re Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the “ReSource Award 2017".
The ReSource Award focuses on social entrepreneurial approaches implementing the principles of sustainability in water management. The prize builds on more than ten years of experience in supporting outstanding partners heading for sustainable watershed management.
An international jury awards USD 150 000 to new social entrepreneurial initiatives driving sustainable water management practices. The prize combines financial and non-financial contributions (coaching/expert advice).
With this award, the Swiss Re Foundation aims at contributing to the advancement of water resilience in low, lower-middle and upper–middle-income countries. Please find more detailed information on the enclosed flyer or on our webpage www.resourceaward.org.
We invite charities, non-profit organizations and revenue-generating social enterprises to submit proposals for novel, entrepreneurial solutions in sustainable water management practices.
As we are now looking to attract interested parties involved in water management to participate in the 2017 award, we kindly ask for your support. We would be most grateful if you could spread the word about the ReSource Award within your own network and by mentioning it in your newsletter or on your website.
We greatly appreciate your support to strengthen resilience in water management and we are looking forward to receiving many interesting applications!
Note: one of the 2016 Finalists is MSABI, in Tanzania, which is an RWSN Member Organisation: http://www.rural-water-supply.net/en/member-organisations/details/62 http://msabi.org/ so well done to them!
